As with my other mediums of expression, I began writing at an early age. When I was younger, I wrote fiction and fantasy short stories. I have been journaling and blogging for a long time. In high school and university, I focused primarily on my poetry. I began writing pieces specifically for performance. I began attending, and eventually organizing, and MCing open mic nights.

At the University of Colorado, I also developed my abilities in research and academic writing. I took several classes focusing on writing and wrote an Honors Thesis in Dance on my BFA work, for which I received a Magna Cum Laude.

I love words and language and I often find that carries over in my other mediums of expression. Often, a project will start with written thoughts. I can hardly separate my sketches from my words. I think words on their own can be an art form, which I have explored in Japanese and European calligraphy, and I am often inspired by artists who mix font and fine art. I think I have been influenced heavily by Japanese manga and American comic books in this way too.

My Resume in this area needs more development. I primarily write for pleasure, but I wonder if in the future I could also write professionally.

My work in Zines includes scans of my own zines and others that I have been apart of or collaborated on.

My Poetry might be my most developed writing style.

I have a few Short Stories too.

Essays and Articles are things I have written on research or for publications.
