In an attempt to catch up to the present, let me remember this March…
mini update #2: March!
March was all about the costumes for the ODC Dance performances!
First up was organizing costumes for the ODC Dance Jam’s fifth season performance. I was so proud of them, for their dedication and hard work. They also cracked me up on a regular basis. Oh, those crazy teens! And their outrageous speech patterns!
In comic form, here is a memory of a hilarious conversation I had with one of the Dance Jam members (who shall remain nameless…) about her costumes. She had some legitimate concerns (ahem)!
The last day the teen company performed, I was helping load the professional company’s costumes into a truck to be taken to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. When we unloaded the 2012 ODC Dance Downtown production backstage there, I was surprised to feel so much like I was coming home! At long last, my own wardrobe headquarters! At long last, all of us in the production – the company, the choreographers, the crew – were in one place, ready to go! We had our share of adventures, stress, and crazy moments, but we worked together for a successful production. My favorite pictures from backstage:

Stay tuned for the mini update about April!
